2001 Jeep Cherokee question

Old tractors and machinery

Wow! Lot's of faith there in those hoses! I think it is safe to say that this excavator is being operated outside it's design parameters and the engineering team would be apopolectic were they to see this!

That looks like a "get it right the first time" deal!
I don't see how, on the third picture, the machine can not be hooked to the tower in some way. It's leaning back, weight back, and not falling off?

In the third pic. The front of the tracks are under blocks on the tower. Look closer. Definitely a high pucker job. :D

flying gauge, the engineers are the guys under the excavator looking up. part of their job discription for product testing.

Holy siht!

What happens if it blows a hose at the top? I bet that gets exciting! ;)

FYI, they have check valves on both ends of the cylinders that require pressure from the opposing end to open them to prevent boom etc. from falling. Failure of the seals on the piston inside the cylinder might be a different story. bg

Now, where's the Good Ol Boy's version with one that has been in mining service and beat up for 10 years?

I saw a show on cable about swamp logging and watched a guy crawl one out of the swamp with only 1 track, the arm was like a crutch.

i saw that one too, he even dragged the track with him while one legging it
