Ben,I bought a device from tiger direct A few months ago that works with call waiting. You tee your modem, telephone and telephone line into this hardware and if you are on the net it rings when a call comes in,if you choose to answer it gives you about 15 seconds to talk or get rid of a telemarketer before disconnecting you from your server. It works very well. Don't know if that is what you are looking for though. The software I looked into was just message forwarding. There were other software's available that did what the hardware I bought would do but they required you to open up your computer and do some rewiring.
Here's where I got my info https://www.turbodieselregister.com/ubb//Forum6/HTML/000386.html

That was the thread I was looking for (cept I used the wrong search words). Thanks for the lead. Will now have to ck into the call wait/fwd costs to figure out which way to go.

Thanks for the reply, but what I am looking for was the "redirect" method which when work calls I can answer or put on IGNORE! They usually need me in the morn and I am on line when they call. Could stop problems if I knew they were calling.

I think there are others out there and am waiting for more info (software for the laptop - can't rewire). I think "Peoplespc.com" or similar "free" computer supplier has/had this feature and am getting closer with both your help.
