Logout error

I get a logout error when logging out.

For the third time since the upgrade, I have had popups appear on my screen, don't remember what the first 2 were, but the last 2 times it was an ad for "Real Radio", in a vertical banner ad superimposed into the TDR banner at the top portion of the screen - never had anything like that before the upgrade - nothing changed on this end as to software or settings - I do run adaware and Xoftspy regularly - and they never come up with any new stuff on my PC...



Not a big deal, just keeping you informed...

1stgen4vr - Would you have those people having posting problems email me at -- email address removed -- or PM me with the issues they are having so that I can attempt to figure it out. The classified email issue is probably spam catchers and unforetunately there's nothing we can do about that.

rtwingson - where are you logging out at (which page) when you get that error and can you provide more details? Has it only happened once or does it happen each time, etc.

Gary - which address are you coming to the TDR at? Some of the addresses are forwarders and I suppose it's possible that one of those is sending the popup although I don't think so.

Steve, I always login to turbodieselregister.com thru my Favorites listing - that hasn't changed in the last 8 months or so...

Then it definately isn't coming from us - that's a direct link to our server and I guarantee it isn't coming from here. Try downloading and running spysweeper - http://www.spysweeper.com - update the definitions and do a full scan. They have a 30 day demo period that you can use it. It has found stuff that ad aware and spybot s&d wouldn't.

HMMmmm - I *do* wander off this site to about 6 other commercial-type sites - weather.com, Drudgereport, etc. , I wonder if somehow a DELAYED popup can be riding on one of those that displays a while later? I *always* have my Zonealarm firewall engaged, usually even on THIS site. I tried the pointer you pointed me to, loaded the program and update, ran it, and other than a few cookies. no dangerous stuff...

I fill out every area but it prompts me anyways and will not send my PM.

That is a bug we recently discovered and I am working on a solution. The problem is with the wysiwyg editor and PM's - it doesn't work. Pull down the discussion forums menu to user control panel and then click on user options on the left. Scroll down and change your editor to anything other than the wysiwyg editor and PM's will work again.

You have to have a minimum of 5 words in a message. If it's happening to you in a private message read my post above - it's a problem with the wysiwyg editor and private messages.
