Sold my 2004.5 with 217k on the clock. I di nothing to the truck other than a heavy duty 48re trans rebuild with Goerend parts. I added a amsoil dual remote bypass filter setup early on along with a dual filter frame mount for fuel filtration down to 2micron. This truck gave me no problems and never replaced injectors though it would smoke on heavy acceleration. I have owned a 2018 dually which I bought used about a year ago . Just wanted to say this was a great truck. I will monitor the 3rd gen forums to help others.

you regret it at all? I'm looking to order a new 3500 probably this coming year, and debating on keeping the 2004.5 and putting stake-bed dump on it. I have a 59 Power Wagon set up that way, but it's not very long-haul friendly. The 4.5 has super low miles on it and it's been a great truck as you say. Kind of hate to give it up.

No regrets. Love the 18 way more torque and hp. I struggled to pull my 14k 5er. Great truck for work. If I had decided to keep it I would have run it into the ground. I tend to keep vehicles too long. I need to buy a beater so I don't run up miles on the dually.

X2 on going from my 2004 --> the 2020.. Pulling my 17k 5er is a breeze. and don't miss shifting the 5600. I do kind of regret letting the old faithful 2004 go, especially after DW said I could've kept it but all I would have done is pine about the good value I got on trade, let is sit, or worst had to decide which to drive while paying tax, inspection, license and insurance on it....

Go for it, the new trucks are awesome and I get right about the same mpg as before with way more comfort

Reading is making me feel a little better. I'm really struggling with what to do.

The used car market is meaning I'm getting some really competitive offers on my '07. Also, the incentives for ordering are really good right now. I just love my '07 and has never had an issue, has all the capability I need.

Struggling if I should just keep and be happy? Or go with a new truck.

I'm not complaining...It's good to have options.
