Well it has been fun, but the Dodge is sold. With my new job I no longer need the white Dinosaur. I was able to keep visitation rights, due to the buyer being my father. The truck is still to be used in the Hotshot business. Now it will pulling a 40' G/N all the time. Will be interesting to see how the swap holds up in the "long run" under weight all the time. Still trying to get a cam. to get some pics of the install for those who wanted to see. Now to find a 1st gen. club cab 4x4 or maybe swap a diesel into the Samurai #ad

Working for a local Co. in Corpus in the shipping Dept. They were one of my customer's when I hotshotted. Drive their 99' F-450/6spd/36'G/N plus do the other fun stuff associated with shipping stuff out. The good part is no overnight work and only on call 1 weekend per month. I do not understand how the ford guys think the PSD is stronger than the Cummin's. I was impressed with the interior of the new trucks, but geez man you got to rap that thing out to get the power. Kind of like an old Detroit I drove at one time. Guess I just got spoiled to low end grunt of the Cummin's.

Hate to see you driving the competition's truck but it sounds like a pretty good job. We used to get our winch lines for our trucks and sidebooms from your employer.
Holler at me if you see me on the road or when you come through Victoria. Our yard is on 59 by the Mack place.
Take care

Large Car, Sorry to see you leave the line of work. But glad to see it will run again in the hotshot line of work. I can't quit. My FL-70 makes 3 trucks on the road now. All I need is a "decent" driver and the fuel to stay under 2. 00 a gal. Good luck in your new job !!!! Mike

Large Car I know that this is off topic but I'm looking into doing the allison swap this winter. I'm looking at the 3600 3660 3700 allisons tranys. They are the electronic with the stand alone computer. All you shoul need from the truck are tps and speed sensor and a hot and ground. The reason I'm looking at these are I can't keep the clutches in my truck for the races. (I do the pulls and the mud bogs) They come with the option of 4 5 6 or 7 speed. The 7 speed is a double od. . 80 and . 60 You can controll the shift points and converter lock up from the computer. This way I can run a race set up and change the next day back to a street set up. What did you do for the starter? Was yours a manual when you started? I'll be doing a divorced np205 transfer case unit behind the allison. I know that I will have more questions as the time to do the swap nears. For now I'm rebuilding the McLeod for the last two races of the year.

Best I can say about the fishing is that it got me away from work for an evening! All that was biting was hardheads, a few tee-niney gafftops, and tons of mosquitoes! Think I'll wait until the water cools down a little. Good luck with the new job- you're still welcome to stop by if you get up this way.
