I have the Solid Steel Products track bar kit but I'm wondering if Don Thurens's bar is better. My steering still has play in it. I noticed the mounting bracket on my SSP kit flex's at least 3/8" - 1/4". The bushings on the track bar also flex about 1/8" when turning the wheel. I have both the new style and old style bushings that the nice guy at SSP sent me for free but both tend to flex. The first set of new style bushings I was sent made popping noises after about 4-6 weeks and had to be replaced.

Don's kit for trucks with 0-3" of lift uses no SSP kit uses the mounting bracket that hangs down and is prone to movement under load because leverage is working against it.

I had a good talk with Don the other day and he talked my out of buying one of his crossover steering kits that I was thinking about installing. He had told me that any play or bushing movement on my track bar setup would cause problems. I'm wondering if any TDR members have used both of these SSP and Thuren track bars setups.

I have the SSP unit. . I bought both the Track bar kit and the Steering Stabilizer. . I do believe that if you get the other Steering Stabilizer kit it will help alot... . I did the Stabilizer and it did help. . then I did the track bar and that finished it up. I go down the road with one finger and it tracks straight.

I've already got the DSS, steering column bushing kit, Borgeson, AGR super pump, DT Profab +1/2" Link Arms, Moog tie rod ends & ball & joints, and heat sink PS cooler.

What I'm trying to compare with the post is the two different track bars setups. I know there's got to be multiple TDR members who have tried both types.

Dons track bar rules IMO. It bolts on, it lasts and its adjustable. But! It wont work with longer control arms as it WILL hit the diff on compession.
