Solving the teacher pension issues

Well said!! Any teacher that does not give 110% a day is there to take up space and collect a pension and benefits!!

Don't get me wrong. Any teacher that gives 110% to our children, I will support completely. They are our future! I would propose that if we could take away the pension and tenure while offering a 401k matching program, then pay only the dedicated teachers what they truly deserve.

You are right again! One problem, the union is so freaking big, and the schools sytems are FULL of the older generation, getting rid of tenure and pension is not going to happen. Should it happen... YES!!! Unions are the root of all problems, teachers unions are no different.
