Chevy conversion?

hi, my name is john and i finally figured out how to post some pics. i do not post much , but i read the fourms often, anyhow i thought some of you would like to see what i just love doing, and that is building and working on trucks,i am not very good at taking pictures or posting so i dont have many in the proccess but these are three i have done, first is a 72 with a 91. 5 running gear i completed it 3 years ago, i drive it often and it gets close to 20 mpg, the second, is the orange 78 it has a 93 drive train idid it 2 years ago and sold it last year before starting my current project it is a 79 crew cab on a 03 third gen. chassies it is not finished yet but is drivable and runs real strong and tight the donor truck had only 43k miles

and here is my current project i have done a lot of cool stuff on this one so far and it was alot more work because i did the body and paint ay the same time

i live in the verde valley (cottonwood ) arizona ,i also love the 67 to 72 ford pickups i have just finished polishing a 69 grill for it

So you are out of the "rust belt", that explains the condition of these 30+ year ols trucks. You won't find anything that nice here in IL. Anyway the offer stands, mite even consider trading my 06 QCSB if you wanted something newer. Keep up the good work.

well i found a little time, and the weather turned real nice 72 deg. so i got the front and rear bumpers on,i also got the frame ends all capped, now i can finally get going on the interior

well here is an up date on my 78 crew cab project, i have the interior completed and the sound abatement done,I am down to just 2 codes on the ecm they are for the fuel sending unit. I had the fuel (injection) pump go out, the donor truck had sat for 5 years other than that it really runs great, I got the hitches fabbed up (gooseneck and receiver) and trailer brakes wired can hardly wait to pull a load with it

Wondering if you have a fuel pressure gauge? On the 03 motors the lift pump was located by the filter cannister and Dodge moved it to inside the fuel tank in 05. The dealers were changing the lift pumps on the 03-4. 5 to the tanks so yours might be in the tank. Also, if the lift pump looses pressure then the injection pump starts to pull fuel, and this wears out the injection pump. Geno's sells the cannister lift pump if you need one.

We are partial to the old Fords too, they are real classics. Our 72' has 41,000 miles but it needs a little polish. It has a Dodge power steering box, a stock 460 out of a wrecked police car, and a 1990 Ford ZF 5 Speed-2WD.

here is a couple of updated pics of the trucks, i thought i would get a couple, because the blue and white one is going up for sale (you gotta love women, esp when they have you by the short hairs)

No, you don't gotta love 'em, especially when they make you sell your trucks. You just gotta live with 'em. Or give them half your stuff.
