Had that happen to me the other day. I was leaving the cities after a 7 hour ambulance transfer to start the 4 and 1/2 hour drive home and a guy cuts off our ambulance and proceeds to drive 45 miles an hour down a 65 mph highway. I am needing fuel so I figure to hell with the guy and pull off to fuel up. Takes us about 15 -20 minutes cause we get some snacks and what not and we get back on the road. Haven't gone three miles and here is the same guy just pulling out of a different fuel station. He doesn't even stop at the red light and jumps on the road ahead of us again and proceeds to again drive 15-20mph below the speed limit. I am pretty ******, but since I am driving the ambulance and not my own truck I figure I better behave. So this goes on for about ten minutes when all of a sudden one after another three cigarrettes get tossed out while still lit. It is night so you can see the cinders. Now I am seriously ******. Nice part is I am in an ambulance with all kinds of quick communication to law enforcement, bonus I can see a HP sitting in the median a ways up the road so I try and raise him on the radio and luckily he is either on or scanning the mutual aid frequency and answers me. I tell him my complaint and he hasn't spotted me yet so I flip on my lights and the idiot who has been harrassing me pulls over and I just slow down a little more let the HP pull in behind him and we all sat down and talked about it. Turns out to be three teen boys who decided they were gonna show us ambulance guys that just cause we have lights and sirens we can't just rule the road. Wow, what a lesson for me, and here I thought we used those lights and sirens to try and help people. Guess I am gonna have to go back to school and learn that stuff all over again.
Anyway long story short I think they got some phone calls to their folks. I wanted them fined, but I also admit I was pretty tired and cranky at that point in my day. Almost wish I would have just had my truck and been able to smoke them, but then on the other hand with my luck I would have done it at the same point and had the HP pulling me over.
