here's what I have goin on.

Hard to get into gear at stop, hard to downshift, will barely move the truck while the clutch pedal is full on the floor on flat ground, no rattle while the clutch pedal is down, i replaced the pilot and throwout bearings when i had the clutch rebuilt and installed less than a year ago, any ideas guys, it's gettin on my nerves, I didn't really start seein trouble till i put in my new south bend slave cylinder, I talked to Peter he told me the clutch needed seated, several months later and I am still havin some issues, not sure what to look at and expect. reverse is nearly impossible to get in gear unless ya slam it into 2nd and quickly go to reverse... .

Cracked floater... I had this clutch in one of my 98s and it happened 3 times over the life of the clutch. I've heard it's very common for them... . Get one of Peters clutchs. It was the best change I made to the truck. Made it lots more fun to drive.

Cracked floater as the others said. The EEP pressure plate is far superior to the South Bend but SB has a thicker floater. (and no you can't combine the 2 to make a hybrid clutch, already tried it's too thick. )

If your wanting to go with a South Bend Dual Disk I am selling one, becuase I am putting my truck back to stock. it is a 3600 plate load, SFI approved, has about 4000 miles on it, it is a very stout clutch, good luck slipping it I have it in my 99 with a smarty, edge comp, 80 horse injectors and fass system and havnt came close to slipping it

make sure it is adjusted right, it can be a pain, but if its letting it drag that why it wont want to go in gear. i had mine rebuilt a littl over a month ago and its pretty good about going into gear, there are times though i do the

5th to reverse to get it to go it, not very often. also diesel darryl said once a year, generaly before pulling season, pull the transmission and check everything over and adjust it. i dont know how many hooks you have made on it but it might not hurt to check it over.
