Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Competition Has anyone here tried the II 71?

Competition 2nd pull a success

How much of a role in the MOD class do the sponsors play for each truck? do they get free parts ?

What engine is in that first truck in the mod video?

The Scheid truck is sponsored by Scheid Diesel obviously.

But the others I have no idea where they stand on parts or sponsorship.

I believe from what I have heard that the motor is a 7. 3 V8 basically a Powerstroke block and has an inline 8 cylinder bosch fuel pump. Twin turboed. I have heard that the engine was co-developed with Tom Tormoehlon/TFS (Sound familiar anyone ;) ?)

The truck is owned and operated by Ben Miller who lives out in Brown County Indiana which is about 10 miles from here.

What was the second smaller hood stack on that ford? Strait blowoff? Wastegate? ???? I've not seen that before. Also what broke on that one truck? He had what looked like a good pull on.

But those were all awesome trucks and pulls IMO. Oo.

Looks like powerstrokes might be a contender in MOD class if more can follow in their footsteps. Would love to see that engine in person.

Also what broke on that one truck? Sounded like he popped a charger... ... . sounds worse inside the truck... ... . more like a Cannon going off.

Did you hear Stacy's RPM's..... yee haw.

Garrett we parked next to your truck man what happened to it?

Got out there, took the first hook Friday. Broke the U-Joint and Cardigan joint in the front shaft spooling up on the line... got that taken care of by Scheids (thanks for the great service) Thanks to Greg that hangs out with Dave's diesel, he donated a front shaft with an intact CV joint as well!

While waiting for that to be done, I noticed my hub was leaking gear oil. . Mark (Got Smoke) told me he had a seal, so we took the tire off to swap it out (piece of cake, or so we thought)

We were also going to take the brake shoes off that side because we thought they were rubbing due to the torn up backing plate. (the brakes were disconnected on that side) No such luck.

Turns out the hub bearings had welded themselves to the hub. . and No amount of beating could get them off the spindle.

My father came out from WI with a trailer and got me home though.

Fun Weekend.

Or a small bomb. It chunked the block right out onto the track, concrete, cylinder walls, and all. I added some of the pieces to my SDX Carnage Collection that started with a set of my spider gears, Dave Mitchells clutch, etc! :-laf

It is too bad the camera missed Rick, the starter flagger, jumping like a little girl, I think it was the first time he realized it is just a touch dangerous to flag!!!

Erik Stacey put down two of the best mod runs I have ever seen, this one, and the win the night before(a record, no Mod has ever won Scheids, Fri, and Sat). Considering the time and parts he has left on that track, it is well deserved.

I feel sorry for the gasser boys, who have to contend with this truck, in Ohio.

That event was, the biggest and best Diesel sled pull I have attended in my life. No exaggeration. Nearly 200 hooks on Saturday.

Thanks to all who pulled, watched, worked.
