I enjoy a wide swath of country, from Western Swing, to Hank Williams, to Buck Owens, to Marty Stewart, and really enjoy some Southern Rock like Marshall Tucker. An artist we saw live here in town was Daryle Singletary and I thought he was very authentic and old-school. At a dealer meeting a couple years ago we saw Darryl Worley, and I was impressed with him, as well. He took a fair bit of time to tell a story of how he had been shut out of country radio because he didn't conform to the new country sound. He also did a heck of a job on a few Haggard songs. I think there are quite a few artists who are the real deal, but it's hard to get much traction in today's industry. I sure hope it is just a cycle, and this half-azz rap crap, and rocker wannabes just go away.

I really enjoy all kinds of music, but love love love Chris Ledoux and Jamey Johnson...

I think this one sums it up

I've never heard of him before, but you peaked my interest...

I used to be a rebel child and listened to heavy metal just because my dad hated it, but I still remember the first time I heard Chet Atkins and Waylon playing on a mix tape my dad played back in the late 80's... I still love metal music and also classic country! My favorite station that I can pick up from here (sometimes) on 99.5 doesn't play any of the new garbage. They might slip one past the goalie and play one from Shania Twain from time to time, but she was pretty hot and I'll let it slip lol!!

They also broadcast on a sister station out of F.E. Warren AFB in Cheyenne, WY. Good music back to back without any DJ's!! They only break for the FCC required station ID and some local weather. When I can't pick up the station from SD, I just play the stream from Cheyenne on my phone. I thank the Lord that I grandfathered in with UNLIMITED DATA on AT&T since access to good music only needs good phone service and an AUX jack on the front panel!!

Yikes!! I just heard some pretty fast music playing!

False alarm guys, it was just Barbara Mandrell!! They did slow it down a bit with some Michael Martin Murphy, so it's all good :-laf

Just needed to be said that when we go out on the town to have a good time, it doesn't include sitting around listening to Old'ies and growing mold on the North side of our butts. Easy listening music is fine for when we're sitting on the front porch sippin a shot or three of JD & it gets pretty old fast when some moonstruck Cowboy keeps bellerin out love songs so he'll get lucky that night. People want to get out and do some aerobic dancing get their Blood pumping and watch the girls shake their sugar shakers. \\

Not many of the above mentioned singers about are about that!!
