Someone to haul a 1/2 pickup from central Ar to Norfolk, Va.

I may need to ship my Navy son's 93 Chevy short wheel base 4x4 from Central Arkansas to Norfolk. His ship is back from six month deployment soon and I may not be able to drive his truck out to him.



I'm looking at options, please pm.

A couple options other than hiring a trucking company to transport it include:



- getting someone else (family/friend) to drive it across and you fly them back - a version of this plan worked for me getting one of my cars from Monterey CA to Detroit during a cross country Navy move.



- find a company out there that will drive his truck car cross country for you. The drivers may be students or retired folks, or ... , but they're legitimate.



- maybe there's a generous soul reading this here who is deadheading it back East and would like to help out a Sailor.

Chris, thanks for the ideas, the ship should dock just prior to Thanksgiving, so I'll need to make a move soon.

I know its not much help but I am heading through AZ to Norfolk in May. If it doesn't happen this month I can do it then.
