Ok here is my situation. My truck idles rough, like it is missing or something of that sort. It only does it a low idle. I have come to a conclusion it is not the lift pump, installed a new one tonight still sounds like s*** at idle. This is driving me crazy because the dealer tells me there is nothing wrong after it was hooked to the computer. Any help is appreciated. If anyone has had this problem and solved it please let me know how you solved it. Thanks Dan

Possible bad injector??????

You can loosen one fuel line at a time very carefully and listen to the difference. If one doesn't change the tune its that injector that's bad.

*** I've never done this so I'm not sure how far to loosen the injector line. It's extremely high pressure and not sure how much has to blow by to disable the injector. Hopefully someone will chime in who has done this. ***

I'd start with six then five before the engine gets to hot to lean on.

Torque them after the test when things cool down.

If you take it to Cummins they will charge you somewhere around $115 to put their computer on it and make a dyno run, and they can shut each cylinder down electronically. They can do a lot of testing and should be able to find your problem.

I agree with LSMITH. If you want to know for sure and have the money, take it to a Cummins shop and let them computer test it. They can tell you all sorts of things.

Goin to Cummins on Tuesday at 1:00pm. The guy seemed real decent but are there any questions I should ask or anything to watch out for? I plan on learning alot while I am there. Is there any way they can give my truck more POWER while it is there? I am hoping there is and it's not too $$$$$ Thanks for all the help

275 injectors............

I think they're available through Cummins. May cost you more than it would aftermarket though.

They can't do anything to the ECM/PCM because it's all Dodge proprietary.
