Was reading thru my o3's owners manual today, it says to make sure and use the parking brake when parking a manual trans. , then on page 187, under" Engine Idling--In Cold Weather", it tells about the high idle, how if amb. temps are below 32*, and coolant temp. is below 190*, after 2 min. of idle, the idle speed will slowly increase to 1000 rpm. , but if you apply the parking brake, this will cancel the fast idle!!! Real COOL heh?? Allright Dieselman, and some of you other wizz's, get on it!!!

I live in Arizona, what do you mean cold weather??

(Actually Flagstaff, it does get mighty cold)

I'll look in the OM, but I think it means the service brake, not the parking brake.

Edit..... I just looked. .

It says "Applying the parking brake or accelerator", I think it is either a misprint and should be service brake, or actually means doing so WHILE in fast idle.

Hi Lurch, had a guy offer me a real good price for mine, so ordered a new one, and its here. 194K on the 00, I like the 03's!, I'm too old for all that noise!! The worse part of getting a new one is changing all the equipt. ( and paying for it!!) I took all the goodies off, so read the Classifieds!!

Larry, I can't believe you sold the HP Hauler.

Now you have to make a trip this way to show off the new toy. October would be a good time to do it. Say, the last weekend, maybe in Kerrville, hint hint ;) ;) .

Be good to see ya again.

I would really like to make it Curtis! If I could make at the last minuit, do you think Wild Bill would let me throw a tarp across his trk. racks so I'd have a place to sleep??

If this is right, this is going to be a HOT feature for us folks living in the Great White North (Montreal sometimes gets 35 Celsius below zero in February, kinda cold isn't it). Consider this: I like the fuel return to the tank because it warms'up... the fuel (at least, this is what I think).

No more insulating the fuel line, no more dressing like an Eskimo ;)

Dan, Mtl Qc Can.
