I'm have a strange problem with my truck and I'm hoping some of you might have a clue as to what might be the problem. I do remember some time ago a few others having the same issue if my memory serves me.

Its pretty simple... ... driving on the freeway every now and then it feels as if the truck stops pushing. Not like I let off the throttle, don't feel the drivetrain change but its as if there is no power for a second or 2. Feels almost like the time I ran out of gas but only lasts for a sec. The first few times I was not even sure it happen it was so fast but have experienced it to many times now.

I don't even know where to start looking.

Thanks

mystery

Fuel pressure never seems to chagne. The only thing that I THINK looks odd is that Im not boosting much over 5lbs, but that would make sense if Im not making power at that moment. This is n ot a condidtion that I can reproduce at will which is a real bummer.

Thanks

Mystery

I have a '99 2500 with Banks Stinger Plus System and had a similar problem that you are describing. Local dealership found the problem to be a malfunctioned "MAP Sensor"( Manifold Absolute Pressure) Upon the dealership replacing the MAP Sensor, no more problem. A few months went by and the same problem started to occur again. Back to the dealer and a new MAP Sensor. After the second MAP Sensor was installed the dealer made the suggestion that the Banks products were causing the reaccuring problem with the MAP Sensor. A few weeks later, I was at the Banks Headquarters in Azusa, Ca having the "High Ram Air Intake" installed and mentioned to them the MAP Sensor problem and the dealers thoughts on the matter. Banks did some rewiring under the hood and the problem has never come back. That was over a year ago.

I do not know where you had your products installed but this might be a starting point to solve the problem. Oo.

MAP sensor eh? Hmmmm. That was gonna be my next question. What sensors if any might I want to check? I have my system in stalled about 2 yrs ago, so a call into Banks is about due.

Thanks for all the great advice.
