Let me restate that, if you can't get satisfaction by going in and politely asking then you have to do as my post says, with that said:
I owned that truck 1 year 1 month and 1 day and it was in the shop 45 of those days on 11 different occasions, it was the first new truck that I owned and at first I was always polite and calm but that was getting me no where and the zone rep just kept saying bring it in we'll fix it right, I told them they tried that 11 other times and there was no way they were getting another chance. On the other hand the letter to the arbitration board was very polite and full of documentation, as I remember it was 10 pages long listing every visit I made to the dealership and every item detailed. The truck never went to full arbitration because I got my way and they gave a $4,000 certificate to use towards the new truck after I traded in my old one. I paid $16,000 for the old one and got $14,000 on trade so I ended up with $18,000 for the old one as far as I can tell that is more than I paid. Honestly by the time it got to that point there wasn't much wrong with the truck other than the dealer not listening to the customer and unwillingness to address my problems. It's not so much of being an A**hole as it is letting them know that they can't walk on you. It's not people like me that make business places such a pain these days, it is the big companies trying to get away with what they can and ripping off customers.
