Front wheel bearing lube

Hello, my name is Ariel, i have a Dodge Ram 2500 2008 cummins 5.9 and 48RE transmission, now has 100.000 kilometers on it, first bands adjustment and second oil changes, i have an issue with it last weekend when i decided to make that "easy" work, first of all i adjusted front band (loose lock nut and tighten adjusting screw to 70 in-lb and then back off 1 and 3/4 turns, finally tighten lock nut and holding adjuster at the same time at 30 ft-lb and done this part), then remove the pan and old filter, so, now time to adjust the rear band(loosing the lock nut and tighten the adjuster to 72 in-lb and then back adjuster 3 turns and tighten lock nut at 25 ft-lb while holding adjuster in place and rear band done, new filter, new atf+4 oil, till here all fine, the gears engages nicely and softly, but.... when i put the shifter lever in 2 (between D and 1) before engage the 2º, the transmission make a hunt, when 2 is enagged the transmission goes fine, but in 1º from cero km/h till engage the 2º gear seems like move and leave and then move again, the official chrysler service tec said me that can be the rear band that it is too tigh, but i would like your opinion, advise and/or your recommendation,
the transmission before service work perfect,
i'll thank you very very much your words.-

Exactly, 1 turn is equal to 1 complete revolutions, sorry my english, my native language is spanish. Do you have any idea why happen thi to my transmission?

No, I'm sorry, I don't know much about the 48re. It sounds like it might be related to the band adjustment is the reason I asked the question. There are some folks on here that should be able to give you some good answers. Good luck. bgi

Your adjustments appear in order/correct. Mine acts similar when it is cold, not up to operating temp. Does it still behave like this when it is warm? Also, is your fluid level correct(?) I'm sure you've checked, just making sure.

I have noticed that same feeling when trans is cold and I first place in drive, sometimes it appears to hunt which gear it wants while still standing still...it always operates fine after, so hadn't given it a lot of thought. cerb, our resident trans member may have some insight. Jess

Yes, when tha trany get operative temp the issue seems like almost disappear,
I'm from Argentina, in those years the ram that import were 2009 and 2010 here, same models in us were 2007, now, chrysler is importing ram 1500 hemi 5.7 laramie 2014 and about to sells ram 2500 cummins 6.7 laramie with 6 speed transmission, but i need help about my issue, my transmission was perfect before service with bands adjustments, new trans oil mopar atf+4, filtre mopar, and new gasket, down the truck and the transmission goes perfect and smoothly, in every selections, but my surprise was when i move tha shift lever in 2, before second be engagement, i meam from zero km/h till engage second speed seems like slip and move second by second, but with lever in drive the truck goes nice. Anyone help? Thsnx lot
PD sorry my english.

As mentioned above, be sure the fluid level is correct. It must be checked with the engine running, warmed up and transmission in neutral. Also try putting the transmission in neutral for a few seconds when you first start up and see if that makes a difference. bg

Yes, all is ok, fluid level in neutral and operative temperature, and yes, i have been tried all ways, in r before put in "2", in neutral before, in d before, in p before in 1 before, allways do the same thing, the only change was new fluid and adjustment the bands, after this, the transmission has dis weird thing, only with lever in number 2, but in others position the transmission goes perfect.-

my parents are from Argentina...i would not think that you do not drive your truck in buenos aires

AAaaah buenisimo, tenés una ram que te pasó lo mismo? porqué me decís lo de buenos aires? yo soy de Corrientes, del interior, pero volvamos al inglés o sino nadie me va a ayudar.

I would refrain from placing your transmission in "2", can't think of a reason why you would want to start off in "2" anyways...Jess

Because i wanna the transmission work in every selections, today i drained the new oil and re adjust the rear band, remove the solenoid and temp sensor, then assembly all again and same weird thing, just in "2" from zero untill 15 km/h, after second is engaged, then goes fine, but in R, D and "1" the transmission goes nice and smoothly, that issue happen with cold oil, when the oil is hot the issue is less noticeably, i'm thinking tha this issue is happening only to me in whole world.
