My dad has a 2000 ram 3500. Every once in a while you will push on the throttle and there will be no response. If you let off the throttle it will come down and if you shift down and get back in it it will be fine for a little while. I say it is the throttle position sensor. After reading an article on here it also sounds like it could be the ECM. O one other thing it has an edge EZ on it if that makes a difference. What do you guys think. Thanks Sam

Dead pedal

Check your comp. for any codes. When mine did this it was the dreaded dead pedal syndrome which is the electronics on the injector pump on the way out. I don't remember the specific codes, maybe someone else will chime in. DW

Cycle the key 3 times and post the codes here.

I just got dead pedal coming home from Valley View TX, while hauling our new colt today. Got home and checked the codes. All I got was P1693 too. What is it?
