Somewhere to get 4" pipe bent for exhaust in So. Ca.?

I have called many muffler shops and they will do 3 inch but have to "special order" pre-bent 4" pipe. What's up with that? Is there a shop that can bend and install 4 inch to come out in front of the rear wheel? Thanks.

Mark,check with Banks,their just down the road from you in Azusa. They bend 4"and do installs,but I'm not sure if they'll do a custom job. I'm sure they can tell you who does though. Don't talk to a salesman,they don't know jack,push the number on your touch tone for technical questions.

The problem with bending large diameter pipe is that the machine will put a kink in it. Doesn't do much ggod to have 4" pipe when the bends are equivilent to 2" pipe. 4" has to be mandrel bent (bent as it is drawn out). The other alternitive is to buy several pieces of 4" mandrel bent pipe and cut, weld, and grind to get the curves you want. For 4" exiting in front of the rear wheel, a simple 90 degree piece should be enough.

just order the mandrel bent 90's & 45's and weld them in thats what I did works flawlessly
