Recommendations for Freon Scale

Got done with Son's barn, shop, store room what ever he calls it not bad for a hair lip like me. Then when we get home we see the neighbors dog running away from the house going to have to spank that dog to keep him away :-laf

Kinda sorta funny looking dog! :-laf Better hope his momma don't come around looking for him after you spank him. ;)

Don't know if that ISNT MOM or DAD I should have ran out and tackled it down and took a look I guess, wouldn't want to have the guy's at the saloon laugh at me for tackling a She Bear :-laf

To big for baby boo boo bear for sure.

Size wise? the door is 10ft wide 15ft high Width of the building is 40ft length 55ft with a tack room built on the back of that its like 15 x15. Its more of a eyeball engineering building got some poles and just stuck them where he thought it would be big enough. Its kind of the same as ours but he has fewer riding stock animals that require a barn than we do. I can take the deminsoins when we go back over if ya want. No Plans just went and did it, we did figure the least amount of lumber waste.

The one with the horses in the pic was a plan built, It has 8 individual stalls and a hay loft with a tack room, and a bunk room up stairs with a little wood stove to keep warm with when tending to a sick animal or when the wife gets Mad at me :D

We use metal roofing to get the snow load off and its a pretty steep pitch of the roof, it cuts down on some of the hay loft space but better than having to climb up and get snow off the roof or damage the building this year we had 130 inches of snow we beat the average snow fall by 10 inches that's a bunch of weight along with 100 bales of hay at 90lbs each and A BUNCH of sack feed.

All the barns here also use metal on the roof. The one on our barn here has to be well over 50 years old and other than one repaint a few yers ago, has held up great.

We talked to one builder a little while ago and his rough quote was fairly good for the basic structure. He has another guy coming Friday I believe to quote. My brother-in-law want mostly machine storage, but room for a few horses, etc.

That's what the Son's is for he has 2 mules they don't take up much room in the barn, its mostly for keeping the tractors and other farm things in. We are going to build a house for them and tear down the one they live in now before winter hits it will have a detached garage with a covered deck between the house and the garage for his car and truck to stay warm in. I don't know what it would cost to have these built by a contractor I was given a credit card and took my International truck and trailer to pick up what we needed. I don't know about PA but wood aint cheap any more.

Nothing is cheap anywhere I'm afraid. Your son's place sounds a lot like what my sister's family is living on now. When we got the property, it had an old house that needed to go. The only difference is that they built the new house first and are now starting on the other buildings. I can't tell you the number of trees we've cut down, fence posts we have replaced, and overgrown fields we have cleaned up since we got the place in 2005.

They have a Gorgeous Place his Grandfather and he are in a cattle/beef hobby gone wild!!!! into beef production for sale it's no longer a hobby that his Grandfather had, He lives in St Ignatius MT the main part of the property is 2000 acers and they have two others that are 1k and 1. 5k and looking to buy the property to connect them all into ONE BIG CHUNK. IM SO ENVIOUS OF THEM I COULD CRY.

Big no explosives, Bulldozer and Trackhoe are the best therapy a man can get. I am quite envious of all your pictures.

What ever they get I wont be working it, We have a house to build and Guess who gets that end of the party. they will more than likely leave the stumps and things until next summer just to much work on our plates for this year and during the upcoming winter.

Some place along the line I need to cut, split, stack at least 7 cords of firewood for the next winter just for us then probley the same for the in-laws and the Son and Daughter can fend for them selves the trees are felled and the mules have pulled them up to the cutting bench with the logging arch. So the rest is up to them Dad's getting just a little tuckered about now
