I've got an '04. It's all stock with 2900 miles. At around 1300-1400 rpm I'm getting this sound that sounds (as best as I can describe) as a spray. It sounds like when you drive through a puddle of water at 30+ mph. It is very distinct at only this RPM though, not anywhere else. I didn't notice it before last night, but I do notice it now. Anyone got any ideas as to what it could be?

Need more info, but it wouldn't hurt to check intercooler clamps to see if their loose and leaking at higher boost.

What other info do ya need? It happens at any speed and sittin still. I do have boost/pyro guages installed, but this sound isn't with much if any boost. I did check all the fittings and bolt for the boost guage and its all tight.

It seems to only do it when the engine is hot. This morning when I left for work, it wasn't doing it. Would the injection or transfer pump make this kind of noise at a certain RPM?

Sounds like your fan clutch is engaging at that rpm. Could be that is where the sound is coming from. The 04. 5's do not have an electric fan.
