Just finished installing sound deadening material (Brown Bread) and new carpet in my '93 and drove it last night. WOW!

Other posts said it was good, but I have to say it is GREAT:D :D

I just wish I had taken some readings with the sound pressure meter before and after. I'm always skeptical of the subjective posts like "seems like my horsepower is doubled after installing the 4" exhaust", etc. , I'll bet the numbers would be impressive.

We put in two layers, and it was very easy to do, once the seats and carpet are out. The stuff is a foil backed asphalt-like material that forms and molds easily. Don't worry about cutting it for an exact fit, it will work just fine. I'm only sorry I didn't get a little more and try to go up under the dash some more. I can understand now why some BOMBers have removed the dash to do the entire back of the firewall.

What really brings it home to you is when you turn on the sound system. While driving, you can hear stuff coming out of the speakers that you never heard before.

Can't recommend this stuff enough. Well worth the price and trouble.

Check it out here.

I used one 70 sq. ft. roll, which was enough to put two layers on the floor only, no door panels or anything else. The bulk of the noise seems to come up through the floor, and the firewall is obviously a big source, but I wasn't up to pulling the dash.

I doubt you would get a big improvement by doing the headliner and doors.

The rolls are about 24" wide by 35' long.
