When I first start her up there is a weird sound around the alternator area. I cannot pin point it. (After she us warmed up it goes away). Sounds like a piece of paper flapping up against a fan blade. When you were a kid and you out playing cars into your bicycle spokes it really sounds like that but with fewer spokes and random times. (I took it to the shop and they cannot find the problem.) Driven it over 500 miles since it started and it does not get worse....or better. (It is not the normal click-on, click-off sound all these trucks make - which mine has always done since I bought her in 98).

Thank You,

Update. Still doing the same thing. Except my headlights will blink on and off every once in a great while. Also, to start the truck, at times, I have to push the Automatic Transimisdion shift lever forward to start the truck. Anyone?

Your shift cable may be out of adjustment. I do know what would make that noise though. I would remove the surpentine belt and try spinning things by hand. Just spit balling here though. It's interesting. Please keep us posted.
