Sour grapes and a paint job

Well , still pretty excited that I have a "new" 2003 CTD. Got a deal on one of the repainted trucks with 10 year/100k paint warranty.



The dealer threw in a Linex which was sprayed on this morning. The Linex guy pulled the tape off and of course some clear coat came off with it. That and a few flaws that I could live with before this happened bring me to the realization that I should have forked over a couple more grand and went the no worries route. Oh well, such is life.

So I guess I'll get the truck repainted again. Really like the truck though. Hind sight is always 20/20

I'll bet your "aftermarket" paint has a deeper shine and more clear coat than my stocker!

If all you lost is a little clear coat, that is easy to respray.



It's best to let the paint cure for a month or so first, and to let the liner cure for a month or so before using it.
