A friend of mine just inherited a Colt Pocket Positive in 32 Long Colt and both of us have struck out finding any ammo for it. Does anyone know of a source?

Thanks in advance,
Grant

Thanks guys. So much for having a fun plinking gun, I was hoping that someone still made the ammo but it doesn't look that way.

Thanks Greg, but32 S&W doesn't physically fit in the cylinder, it's ~.02 wider in diameter than the 32 Colt.

You are saying it is.020" wider? In diameter?
WELL DANG IT! Did further research and found that You are exactly RIGHT! Ill just shut my mouth and go sit in the truck!
Sorry! I thought sure I had solved Your dilemma!:(

No worries Greg, your help is appreciated anyway! I thought sure this gun was going to be 32 S&W Long too, unfortunately not.

Thanks! The colt round is a heeled bullet, like a .22RF. The bullet being the same diameter as the mouth of the case.
The S&W round, the full diameter bullet is seated inside the case and crimped. That requires a larger neck and body! AHH! I Learned something today! It IS a GOOD Day!
Thanks Again!I Hope You find a source of ammo!
Regards!

Well now we both learned something today, I didn't understand what a "heeled" bullet was until you just explained it. That explains why the chambers in the cylinder are a constant diameter instead of having a smaller diameter where the end of the case would be (like my old 38 S&W revolvers). Thanks Greg.
