Pro-Guard 7 vs AFE Magnum Force Intake Kit with Outerwear Pre-Filter

stock vs. BHAF?

Pyro quit woring on my 98 today. I know its just the thermocouple as symptoms are just the same as the last 2 times that happened:rolleyes: I have been running 1/8" probes that i got through the guy i was buying my SPA gauges from. He is no longer dealing SPA, and i need to get a replacement and a couple of spares. The 1/4" ones that came with the guages are junk IMHO, they were slow to react and seemed to read low. Who deals SPA and has these probes in stock. Im in kind of a hurry as i need to tow this weekend. Any vendors reading who have these please respond i'll buy 3. Are all thermocouples the same regardless of brand?? Can i get some other replacement. Any suggestions.

Rubberneck,

I got my SPAs from Diesel Injection Service in Lubbock (great service/great price), but I've also had good luck talking direct with Ron or Patrick at (317) 271-7941.

When my TC went out on my SPA I contacted SPA and got a new one. They sent me the 1/4 inch one and I sent it back and had them try again. They got me a 1/8th version that has been holding solid for two years. It was a prototype of the 1/8th sensor they where going to sell. You might try going to the SPA website and emailing them.

You other option is to get one from Westach, all you need if I remember correctly is a K type thermocouple, any one will do.

Spoke with patrick at SPA today, seemed like a pretty nice guy. Ordered a replacement and a couple of spares, and He's going to warranty a head unit i had that the backlighting took a dump on.

SPA are a good group of guys. I have had a few head units replaced because of the green LED's myself, along with one new TC. All this with no hassle very few questions.
