2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission source of sport headlights?

Looking to replace my headlight assemblies and have read about the lighting improvement with the four bulb sport assemblies. Where can I find a pair for my 96? Everything on ebay and amazon is for 99-2002 years. Thanks Anthoy

Can't find the thread I was looking for right now, but the only reason all the lights say '99 through '02 is simply because the sport headlights won't fit on your truck without a slight modification. The difference is that the sheet metal behind the headlights on the later models has an extra cutout to accommodate the sport headlights, and your truck does not. All you need to do is make the extra cut on each side, and you will be good to go. If I come across the thread, I will post the link.

Ditto what Mishkaya said just a bit of minor sawzall work to enlarge the bucket size from what I have read and there are at least a couple detailed threads with pictures regarding that mod.

I agree with everything said so far. I actually just finished the upgrade a couple weekends ago. I got my headlights from rockauto.com. Just used the sport headlight housings for a 99 1500.

I wish I would have done the conversion years ago. I put Silverstar Ultra bulbs in with the suvlights harness, difference was night and day! Literally!
