I just replaced the DMF clutch with a South Bend Street Dual Disc. I haven't driven it much yet, but here are the first impressions. The clutch doesn't make much noise in neutral, or with the clutch pushed in. The only gear that really makes any noise is 5th gear between 1500-1700 RPM. That produces a pretty good buzz. No noise at all in 6th. Not much additional noise in the lower gears. I'll have to get it out on the road, with a trailer, and see how it sounds.

Parking lots with warm fluids should be noticible with gear noise. I've never gotten any noise at highway speeds.

The parking lot crawl is the only noise that bugs me on mine.

my street dual disk has been great. it got a little louder once it broke in, but its still 1000 times quieter than the old style or competition dual disk. its also much smoother than my poorly installed oem style clutch ever was and it holds all the power i have to throw at it.

Will be replacing my DMF and clutch with SB dual disk in spring, if I can nurse my clutch that long. At only 42K I'm disappointed with the updated program that took my clutch out. Reason for the dual setup is to counter the program in regen that causes the truck to surge when accelerating past 2K RPM. When empty is not a problem but when towing it took out my stock clutch out. Was only at 14K GCVW when I was accelerating due to semi running at @ 20 MPH and getting stuck from normal traffic trapping me in behind the truck. When I started to accelerate to pass I hit the 2K RPM mark and the truck surged slipping the clutch and has slipped when stomping on the go pedal ever since.
