PDR HX-35 or HTT Stage III kit???

VA Box Timeing

Thinking of replacing my clutch and was wondering for those who have them what Hp your running and if you are pleased with your clutch setup. I probably have only 240 rwhp but will be shooting for 400.

From the SBC web page:

CON O rated for 350HP 750 lbs ft.

CON OFE rated for 450HP and 1000 lbs ft.

CON FE rated for 550 HP and 1100 lbs ft.

Give them a call and talk to them. Tell them what you want, and listen to what Peter recommends. I will be doing an OFE in the near future (I hope).

I called and talked to Peter and asked that very question. They're ratings are at the rear wheels. Phil

I'd be careful just getting an "FE". Talk to Peter first for sure.

I drove an "FE" a couple weeks ago and it was REALLY STICKY!! Definitely not like stock. It held on 5x5 with DD1s great, but it wasn't for me and what I prefer.

So talk to Peter.

Would the FE hold up to a third gear start sled pulling w/ 3/4 throttle? This question is for my '92 W250. I had a ceramic clutch years ago in my Chevy before i went to the McLeod, and i assume the FE would act the same on the street as the ceramic disk. Is this correct?

I doubt it would hold up over time. I know Hoss over on NW Bombers has an amazing 13 pulls on his 13" OFE, but I have no idea how he does it and continues to have a clutch?

If you going to sled pull bite the bullet and get a Daul Disk. :(

IMO I would get an OFE, it will handle plenty of HP and have much better driveabilty. Talk to Peter !!!! and no truck pulls.

Herd through the vine that peter might be dropping the con ofe because the hub wont hold what the friction can. Hope its not true!
