I just got home. I installed a South Bend OFE this afternoon, and after a 20 mile test drive I've gotta tell you, that is one SMOOOOOTH clutch!! The pedal is so light you could work the clutch with your finger!! This truck has never felt like this! I have to comment... 130,000 miles on the original, I'm proud! The original pilot bearing was still functioning, the release bearing was getting a little loose, and the disc was about ready to touch the rivets. Considering how much I tow I'm quite impressed. The whole job was uneventful, nothing was stuck, nothing broke, all the new parts fit perfectly. Murphys Law says... . I'm in deep trouble tomorrow!!! See ya', Greg

Deep trouble starts when the BOMBing becomes more important than food, water and shelter! Now that you have the clutch, are you gonna add some power goodies?

It may start to chatter or grab a little after you get some miles on it. Peter has told me it was because I don't have enough power to get it seated well (not enough HP? There is never enough HP!). Don't even try to explain that to the wife though! :-laf
