This is the clutch I have sitting in my barn, ready for the install. I ordered a transmission jack and once I get it I will be installing it. But I'm starting to wonder if I should have gone with the MU 2001 Con FE instead of the MU 2001 Con B. Mine has the pucks, and I'm worried about chatter. Ideas?

Swayze... I am concerned with some of the same things... I have the money set aside to order a clutch, but really don't know what to order. It looks like they are supposed to hold about the same power. I back trailers and also have to back under our camper(tight fit) so I think a grabby or chattering clutch would get on my nerves quickly...

The other thing is the pedal pressure. I wish I knew why some guys are having no increase in pedal pressure and others are having lots more???

Thanks to MikeR for finding a workable solution for the extra pedal pressure, tho!

The extra peddle pressure MikeR had was not with the 2001 CON assy. his is not an ETH and he put in a 13" cast iron clutch, MU 0087 CON B and your right I think the new slave fixed the problem. The 2001 CON kits do not have a hard peddle. Swayse, as far as the Con B I drove Peter Harrison's and it did not chatter at all but others have. If you would like, we can swap the disc to the feramic for you, not a problem. I have about 25 of the MU 2001 CON B kits out there and we had to switch over 3 or 4 to the feramic because of the chatter, the others seem to be happy. I don't know if it is the trucks or what but only one that was returned had a bent disc from installation. The trucks seem to have their own mind. LOL Peter

If only a few of the Con B's chatter, I bet it's the install or type of resurfacing done to the flywheel, or maybe even the type of break-in done.

Will one last longer that the other? Looks like I'm going to keep this truck until 2004 or 2005, with about 45,000 miles of farm use a year. I've got about 48,000 miles on it now.

Swayse, I would venture to say the feramic would probably last longer then the button. I have had farmers using the same feramic clutch in their tracter longer then I have been alive. That would be around 19 years. LOL (I WISH). Peter
