SUMMERVILLE, SC

Frank,

I live in Summerville just up I-26 from Charleston. Originally joined the TDR when I was stationed in Washington State. Bought my CTD out there. Check out the SETDR, also.

Sincerely,

Olin Thomas

Since XMAS only two TDR members responded. I live in Blythewood, one in Summerville and one in Lexington which is not very far from here. I don't post two much and seems like you guys are worse than me.

Did you do the jig fix? I went all the way to Atlanta to get mine fixed. I had a 5th gear nut go out recently which I'm going to have to address better.

Frank

Jig Fix

Did mine in 2001 when I was stationed at the Sub Base near Silverdale, WA. It was't as hard as I thought it would be:D

Replaced the starter contacts this afternoon. It wasn't hard at all thanks to the helpful hints posted by our TDR brothers.

KDP

Frank,

Mine is a 24v so KDP is not an issue, but my former truck was a 1997 12v. I sold it to a friend of mine at work and him and another fellow CTD owner at work (1998 12v) both pulled the front gear case covers and tabbed the KDP. Neither had moved from their original location. 1997 had 90k miles, 98 had 30k miles.

Yes you are right, I don't post much, although I have gleaned a lot of info from the TDR. Had to replace my lift pump (notorious 24v problem) and TDR info helped me determine that it was in fact the problem.

There will be a couple TDR rigs cruising around Greenville this weekend (Feb 1st). A red 2500 2wd reg cab (mine) and a black 3500 4wd QC. We'll be on the lookout:cool:

It looks like we don't have a very large group of us in this area. About a year ago I thought that I had heard that a TDR member was moving to Columbia to attend USC. Maybe something changed.

So what do you all do for a living? I work at Providence Hospital. I retired from the USAF a couple of years ago. I moved here from Iowa two years ago. Man was that a good move. I enjoy golf and this is really a great place to live, especially in Blythwood.

The current truck is my 3rd diesel. I wish I kept the first one, a 93 ext cab, 4x4, 5 spd.

Frank

Fbadmaev;

It was probably me, I went to USC for a semister, but I'm not a City-Boy and headed back out to the country.

I live in Beaufort on the Coast about 45 miles South of Charleston. There are a few SC boys out there, most of us just hang out at www.setdr.org . We have meetings about once a month in Atlanta area. We're fortunate enough to have Jeff Garmon and his shop there. Jeff's just like us and likes to have Diesel get-togethers. David Dunbar also keeps his mobile dyno there and we dyno. It might be a bit of a drive for some of ya'll, maybe less for others. We always have fun. There are a few pics on our site of Jeff having a little fun in his 5. 9 Cummins Dakota.

I am in Myrtle Beach. This is my first diesel and I am loving it! I traded in an 03 Hemi and don't regret it at all. This site is great!
