Free Dyno runs!!

Diesel truck pull in Springfield Mo area

On Sept 4th (saturday), Thunder Valley Speedway in Mosca, CO is hosting a sled pull for diesel powered light trucks. The rules are pretty straight forward and basically there are two classes based on weight. At least one power adder can be used (NOS, Propane, Meth). The top 6 positions will be paid money with smaller prizes for the lower positions. Payout will be $500, $400, $300, $200, $100, and $50. Entry fee is $30 plus a $20 pitpass per person. If interested email me or call and I will send out some rules. Not bad money for only $50 entry. If pre-registered you also save $5. Mosca is 15 miles north of Alamosa, CO which is about 4 hours from Denver.

Ok, I am trying to get anybody to come and enter this pull so I am offering free dyno runs at our shop the day before. Check out my post "Free Dyno runs!!" for more information.

Tadd:

Don't know if I can make it and even less sure of pulling but I just might be in the area that weekend, well close enough to come down. I may be in the general area of Suache (sp?, sounds like sawatch), not sure yet though. Where is the place and how do I get to the speedway from US HWY 285. Isn't Mosca just down the road from where 285 veers west and that other hwy heads straight south just west of the dunes. Also what time does it start? You may as well send me the rules as well, If I am in the area and I do come I doubt I will pull but you never know. Always wanted to but just a chicken I suppose, definitely cannot afford any mechanical carnage 200 miles from home.

Also where is your shop in Alamosa and what are your hours, might swing by sometime and say hey. I usually bypass Alamosa on my way to Cortez by staying on 285 to Center and hitting US160 at Del Norte but once again ya never know.

Barry,

To get to the track from Saguache you go south on 285 and in between the turn off to Center and Monte Vista is a road called 5N. Head East on that road and go about 5 miles or so and you will drive right next to the track. Or where 285 goes over Monarch pass you can go south through Villa Grove and go south on Hwy 17 it will take you right through Mosca. The 5N is just at the end of the town with a big Speedway sign. As far as our shop we are located right on Hwy 160 on the East end of town where Hwy 17 intersects Hwy 160. If you head into Alamosa coming from that direction we are about a block after the two hwy's intersect.

Thanks

I'd really like to come but I have to pull a trailer to CA that weekend. I do have a favor to ask anyone from the Denver area that is going though. A fellow TDR member has offered me his used stock exhaust system (Mine is hacked up) and has gotten it to Alamosa. I need to get it from there back to Denver but if I could offer to help pay for someone's diesel would anyone be interested in bringing it back for me since you'd already be in the area? That would be a big help.

Thanks and everyone good luck in the event I hope its a good one.
