southford garage in ct. negative

Tell me if i am off base . Today my father and i went to southford to find how much an aluminum dump body would be on my 06 single wheel. I was looking for a narrow body with sides and tailgate ,nothing special . i had 2k with me for a deposit. this was for personal use only,mulch,wood chips, a yard of dirt , etc. the owner WOULD NOT PUT ALUMINUM DUMP BED ON ANY 2500 DODGE. i have had many trucks in the last 25 years. this is the first i have ever heard of this . i tried to tell him that the only diff is very small,ex leaf etc. he SAID THE TRUCK WAS WEEK, can you belive it ?I can not! if someone can point me to a good shop not to far that would be great, thanks, kp. :--)
