Soy/Bio Diesel?

My wife is running 20/80 in my 03' right now. I have been to a few alt. fuels sites, and they have all said the soy and bio diesel perform almost identical to petro diesel. The Cummins, Cat, Detroit, and International sites all had other things to say about alt. fuels. They don't support the use of these fuels and further more go on to say that using the fuels can destroy some of the elastomer seals in the fuel systems and thus voiding the warranty on the engines. My question is reguarding anyone out there that has been running a 20/80 mix or higher in their trucks and if anyone has had any problems. I may just be worring about nothing, but like the addage goes, "You are your own warranty station!".

There was a discusion on this a while back. I think the concensus was Bio was ok. Might want to check the archives and see tho.

It would be intyeresting to know the post date of that info. From what I understand, the fuel system in some/all? older vehicles could have some problems.

I've driven over 250,000 miles in 5 years running mostly B100 in vehicles that range from a 1978 Mercedes, 1996 Dodge Cummins, 1999 VW Golf. No problems that weren't self inflicted, or related to cold weather gelling. I believe B20 to be safe in anything. B100 cold potentially cause problems in systems that are sensitive to changes in viscosity.
