Looks interesting but I would want more info on what it changes- pressure, timing, duration or a combination. Mine being an 03 looks like I got passed over just like the Juice.

Stay away from SP diesel stuff. .

They use scotch locks for wire tapping, and don't make quality product. Atleast on the product i installed on the ford, i was not impressed at all! First one sent was broken and second one had missing stuff and they are hard to get a hold of. Stick with edge or another brand.

yeah, that's SP diesel. They are members here on the board and have been to our dyno events. There names are Sean and Brad. They are some pretty nice guys. They had a truck test there product at the last dyno event and it produced what they claim. They have an economically priced product with some nice extra features.

You may want to take a look at our new product lines, we have come a long way since the orginal Stage 1 you most likely had on your truck from four years ago.

Plug and Play connectors are standard now on all performance modules and unlike our competitors, you can't acidently hook ours up backwards.

SP-

The product i personally installed was the electronic exhaust brake on a customers vehicle (ford 7. 3). This was approx 1 year ago, i don't know if you guys improved it but I was not impressed or was my cousins (ASE master tech). What got me is Ford and Navistar does not recommend use of an exhaust brake for the powerstroke. Also, for the price, even after the install, the extra braking was barely noticable. I did not care for the scotchlocks either. To clarify, i have not used or installed any of your other boxes before so I don't know about quality of those.

EBottema,

I don't want to take this thread to far off topic, but the 3m connectors we supply with our base version Ford exhaust brake are very commonly used in the industry.

As for the choice in connection styles that was completely up to you, we offered at the time for an upcharge a complete plug in solution for the exhaust brake using factory style connectors not tap splices. This plug n play exhaust brake was the first completely plug n play exhaust brake on the market for the Ford, and very few companies offer plug in connectors today.

As for your braking experience my guess is you have an automatic transmission and chose not to install the tc lockup switch. In this regard we have completely revised our TC controller offering the only on the fly adjustable torque converter controller that uses factory style PWM control of the torque converter. This on the fly adjustability is again a first for the industry.

We currently have an 03/04 module undergoing extensive beta testing
If you need anymore I use a Snap On MT2500 scanner with the latest CVI software and can capture any glitches in a freeze frame mode.

Will your 03/04 have the same features?

Just checked out the site. Interesting air intake. You have some key words that makes me wanto to buy from you... "MADE IN THE USA" :-laf Oo.

Have an 04 so i will ait to see what the box does.

SP Box? Works GREAT for Me!!!

I currently have one of the "Beta" boxes in my truck now; and have have had it in for the last several months. I have had ZERO problems with the box so far... . except one... a problem shared by most of you on this board with boxes... trying to keep your right foot off the accelerator pedal. The power from this box is very easily adjustable from mild to wild. I have towed my 29' TT through the mountains loaded for a camping trip ( approx. 12,500 lbs. ); and had no problem passing slower vehicles with the box adjusted less than halfway. My EGT's never went above 1300's doing either. My son and I have also had fun blowing off many an unaware "sports car" driver with the box set on almost wide open, which unfortunately makes the truck burn rubber mercilessly until you ease up off the go pedal. All in all I would say that I haven't had any regrets putting the SPDiesel box in my truck.

BTW : The entire wiring was all Plug and Play... no hacking into my factory wiring.

SP Box

Matt,

I will have to go out in the morning to see exactly what the box is plugged into under the hood; but I can tell you that all the adjustments inside are done with the twist of a knob that I have mounted next to the steering column. The valet switch itself is on the box and that is mounted directly under the left side of the dash. The "anti-theft" feature is quite effective too. I only have to make a certain adjustment; and the mode is active, the vehicle is indeed perceived as inoperative. I used the system at a downtown parking lot where you have to lock your keys in a lock box after you park. When I returned to the lot, local police were there and my truck was sitting at the opposite end of the parking lot from where I had parked it. It seems that some miscreants had tried to steal the truck, found out that it was running like "", and abandoned it and stole a "Chebby" truck instead. I hung around for about one hour while the crime scene guys dusted my truck for evidence; and then they let me go. For that reason alone, I say the box is definitely a step up from others on the market.

Mark S. ... ... . I'll check the connectors in the A. M. sorry for the run on :)
