Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) SP66, Quickspool manifold,370s,191DVs, afc spring all in one day!

Well, I made a trip down to High Tech Turbo and picked up a Sled Puller 66 and a Quickspool exhaust manifold. The Brown is bringing me some 191 delivery valves and a AFC spring kit from Piers and I have some 370s sitting here begging to be installed. I am installing all of this today and going to a pull tomorrow. Let's see how many pieces I can shatter my Luk clutch into! :-laf :-laf :--)

Doh. . . it's the HTT manifold, I knew that. Just hadn't heard it called "Quickspool" before.

Isn't that basically an ATS manifold? It sure looks like one from the web pics, unless HTT just copied or made their own.

The HTT exhaust manifold is almost exactly the same as the ATS but cheaper and they give it to you all put together. Ive heard it is a pain in the ... to put the together yourself.

Its defintely not the most fun job in the world. Ive done worse, but it is nice that HTT offers it assembled. The fact that it is cheaper is nice as well, if I hadnt gotten such a good deal on my ATS manifold ($360) I would have definitely gone with the HTT. I can't wait to hear the results of all your mods.

Man, that sucks, I went through such a PITA time to get my ATS manifold together, wish I new at the time that HTT sells the thing put together. Took me almost and entire day to get my manifold lined up properly.

I took off my stock turbo with the 14cm exhaust housing with the Banks Big Head wastegate actuator.

Well, I pulled 276 feet with the Luk clutch and didn't even break it! Frankly, I am surprised. :--) I have been pulling with this clutch for three years and it has held up really well. I thought this would be the end of it... . But I think I'm ready for a dual disc anyway so I can pull in 4th.



I may go to the Weekend on the Edge thing and dyno with the new mods.
