SPA Hose kit.

Ordered the hose kit from SPA last night.

Received e-mail today that hose kit will not be shipped for at least 65 weeks !!!:--)

I have them in my truck, however I wish they came in Hot pink to match my valve cover.

spa is supposed to have some new samples for evaluation.....



the first batch was not to specs... ... ..... this was not I repeat not spa's fault... ...



soon, very soon they are a little frustrated as well because of the less than perfect fit



It will be worth the wait... ... ...

also it was probably 5-6 weeks as I am supposed to see them in a week or so



they are improving the the fit of heater hoses, lower intercooler hose, pass side, and the hump hoses are being lengthened





this will ensure perfection

I'll ask a completely uninformed question: What exactly, other than looks, is the advantage of these hoses over stock? If I remember correctly, the kit is in the area of $400... ??? Kind of a lot of $$ just for looks, but if there are additional advantages, it is certainly worth consideration.

Tom, I have a set of the SPA hoses as well. However, before I even installed them I was contacted by SPA regarding fit as well as my personal impressions of the kit overall. That's pretty good customer service in my book!



To answer your question, The hoses are fabricated of silicone and are considered permanent hoses. They will not deteriorate as do the OE hoses they replace. The optional clamp kit (which I also purchased) is light years ahead of what Dodge supplied (excluding the intercooler hoses clamps... the Dodge clamps are good). The price of these extremely high quality silicone hoses as well as the clamp kit are definitely expensive however, I personally think they represent a good investment from a quality, safety, and aesthetics stand point.



I too am currently (and patiently) awaiting a replacement set of those trick hoses for my Ram.

Please keep us posted on the availability guys. I noticed one of my intercooler hoses is deteriorating. Figure it's time to replace all.

SPA customer service....

Patrick and Dave at SPA have been stand-up guys throughout this silicone kit episode.



Patrick called me this morning to assure me that progress was being made, and that we would all be happy with the final results. Sincere apologies and thanks for our patience. As Brandon says, this IS NOT SPA's fault.



As Brandon indicated, he is on point to receive the "revised" kit and check them for fitment and quality. Once he approves, we'll all be taken care of.

Received e-mail from Patrick today, 65 weeks was a typo.

6 weeks is what he meant.

cool, I feel the silicone hoses are strong, they are thicker and I also feel they may not bulge as bad at extreme psi



spa clamps are the best, they have been installed on red since turlock, no blown boots... ... ... . hmmm maybe I aint makin enough boost
