Why can't people drive?

After becoming thoroughly disgusted at the sheer volume of SPAM I receive every week - literally HUNDREDS - usually Asian stuff that displays in gibberish, I think I've hit upon a good solution!

I inspected the post titles and sender's name, and tho' they are in gibberish - strange upper/lower case letters on caps and lower case, and LOTS of accent marks - I was able to determine that a half dozen or so characters were coming up very consistently.

Since I run Outlook Express, version 6, I was able to select those specific characters and place them in my message filter - both to be killed automatically as they arrive, and also to have a COPY of each message automatically forwarded to my ISP (abuse@gte.net)... (heh heh heh)

I also sent an Email to my ISP via their "abuse" department, allerting them to my unhappiness at their apparent inability to filter this obvious SPAM from their users - and letting them know I was now forwarding the stuff to THEM for THEIR enjoyment and amusement...

SO far, not a single Asian SPAM gibberish message has made it past my filter...

Wonder how long I'll still have an account with GTE... ?;) :D :D

Hi Gary,

I ran across a couple of products that have helped with the rest of the browsing. www.adsubtract.com has a product that gets banner ads and popups off your page. Also the Newest Zone Alarm will help.

What's wrong with Spam? Here in Hawaii we consume more Spam than any other state. I can take it or leave it, but my kids and almost everyone else I know loves it. You should see the number of food dishes people make with the stuff.
