Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Spearco Intercooler?

Has anyone tried a Spearco Intercooler? What kind of EGT drop happened over the stock intercooler? Are they worth the money or is it better to stay with a stock unit? What about quality?

Got one in my 01 truck. Saw 100*F drop. I think I posted about this before, with the graphs from the data acquistion from testing.

Have you check out the one PDR has? What are you doing for a hood catch modification? Shadrach

Read this thread on NWB from start to finish. Spearco Intercooler - BOMBER Board Looks like a good cooler but a tough install on the 12 valve.



I'm happy with my PDR cooler, price was right, it's well built and it fit like the stock one. I can't comment on EGT drop because I did the cooler at the same time as my twins. Jim Fulmer has an old thread around here somewhere with a good write up on the PDR cooler.

Thats funny. I have ended up with a PDR unit as well. Price was right, and most likely just as efficient.

As for the hood latch mods, I do not know yet. I will fabricate something when I get there! Oo.



I gather by the feedback, the PDR unit seems to be pretty good?
