On the way home to night I happen to glance down and seen the speedometer needle drop to 50 and back up quickly, at this time a light flashed quickly just above fuel guage and one chim. Then it was over. So anyone know what this means? Im sure it will happen again.

Prairie is right (although the MIL will usually be illuminated if you do have codes).

This could be the (in)famous MIL-and-chime bug from 2003-2004. It's covered by this TSB. But I've never heard of it in combination with movement in the speedometer as you describe.

Step 1 is to check for codes.

I suggest keeping your eyes peeled. It may very well be a subtle variation of the old random "ding" and MIL or "Check Gauges" flash.
