Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Speed sensor

I recently replaced my NV4500 in my truck and now my speedometer doesn't work. It worked on the old transmission, but not on the new one. The new trans has the speedo gear on the output shaft, so that lined up.

Should I go ahead and change the sensor?

It might be the sensor or wiring. Just as often it is the drive inside the adpater has worn out and it won't spin the sensor anymore. Also, make sure the gear is engaging the output shaft so it will spin.

Make sure you have the sensor clocked correctly also.
