Hi,

I'm new to the forum and looking for help. I changed the tires to bigger tires on my 2000 RAM CTD. I wanted to change the speedo calibration with my autoenginuity Scanner. Unfortunately after selecting rear wheel speed, I am not able to change the setting in the onboard test menu.
Any ideas?

You could install a Dakota Digital SGI-5 speed signal interface. It works great, simple 4 wire install. Power, ground, signal in (from ABS) and signal out (to speedo) You want to use output #3 (8000ppm ac output) with switch #3 and #4 up. For my '97 got the ABS signal from the OBD data link connector (red wire with violet tracer) The factory speedo signal wire (white with orange tracer) was found in the big white wire connector that is under the dash in between the clutch and parking brake pedals. I bought mine on e-bay and it has worked flawlessly for over 400k miles.

AutoEnginuity doesn't allow you to change the pinion factor, it is a diagnostic tool only. You need a tool capable of writing to the PCM to change the values.

Thats false. You need the Chrysler add on software with autoenginuity. Alone, it's just a generic scanner. However, I had an issue with my '98 getting into some functions. If you do have the add on and can't change pinion factor, call them. Great tech support.
