Speedo did something weird

Traveling from Ohio to Colorado last week, pulling a GN thru St Louis, I hit a bump in the road and out of the corner of my eye I saw movement on the speedometer. As I glanced down I saw the MPH indicator fall to 0 and then return to 60, I'm not sure if the lights blinked or not, it happened too fast.

I could not find any loose connections in my once over check, and it has not happened again. My son wants to use the truck to tow another truck back this coming week and I'm just a little concerned. Anybody got ideas or had this happen???

several o6 have had tach problems, mine included>



dealer replaced it and all was well



but never a mention or problems with the mph guage... .

My truck did that also. The ABS and Brake light came on as well. It turned out to be the rear wheel speed sensor on the rear diff.

Thanks for the reply guys. I'm about to turn my son and three grandkids loose w/ the truck for a cross country trip to Ohio and back, just worried that all will be well. Truck has 162K and just trying to be cautious.



Hogger, did your truck do it just once like mine or did the speedo stay at 0 ?

I've had some beeps from the warning system right after startup, but never able to see what flashed on, it happens too fast.
