2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Speedo not working

I have just purchased a 98' 12 valve 3500 with 152k on the ticker. Truck has a 5speed, 2wd, and 3. 55 gears. The speedo has stopped working, and the ABS light is NOT on. This leads me to believe it is something other than the sender on the differential.



Where do I look next. could the ABS module or actual ECM or PCM be faulty? I would really like to get everything taken care of so that I don't have to try and manually track mileage.

Does the ABS light come on briefly when the key is turned on? If not, then it could be the sensor and the light gone bad.
