Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Speedo Problem

Speedo works fine up to 30, any faster than it gets lazy and jumps around have replaced speed sensor in rear diff and and didn't help. I than viewed the signal on a scan tool and that also jumps up and down thinking maybe a wiring problem, or maybe the tone ring any info would be helpful thanks cruise and mielage comp. also effected

pinion gear lost a tooth and recked tone ring. New ring and pinion and tone ring and as good as new
