Speedo works some time

My Speedo works when it warm out but when it gets cold (-0 - -10) it stop working what do you guys think it is. I was thing a cable but not shore never had to this happen. Not that I look how fast I am going any way just hold it to the floor. :-laf

Does your '93 have a auto or manual transmission? I can give you a possibility if it's a manual (G360).

the speedo on my 91 was erratic... sometimes it'd work, others it wouldnt, and would bounce sometimes... I pulled the gauge cluster out and found a loose connection in there... I just bent the prongs slightly to put more tension on them and make a better connection. fixed it right up. been workin' for a couple hundred thousand after that.

My speedo had the same erratic behavior. I bought a part (reluctor?) that changes the mechanical input to electrical. It sits right off of the transmission. I got it at a Napa store as I was in the middle of nowheresville Arizona at the time. I had pulled the dash apart numerous times looking for a loose wire or the like. It drove me bonkers for six months. Good luck.
