My 97 RAM 2500, 4x4, cummins, 5speed, has 411 differentials. I want to raise the effective ratio by going to Alcoa 8" aluminum wheels and 285/75 x 16R tires. Can anyone tell me how to recalibrate the speedometer to match this tire size. I have had the dealer research this and they say that only one speedometer gear is listed for the 1997 truck. Also, is there any reason not to use the 285/75 tires.
