speedometer

Hi !!

I'm new 2 this whole comuter thing,

But I owen A TRUCK, and I guess thats good enough!!!

I have a D250 93 model 141000 miles,

the other day my speedo quite completly,

I checked the conection on the angle drive from the speedo

and got the speedo back, but the odometer & tripometer do not work,

anyone got any idias what might B my problem???:

My 1990 speedo has quit twice since I bought the truck in Feb 1990. The poblem with mine was the little blue gear in the odometer striped out and the miles traveled quit working. I luck out and replaced the gear one time and it worked until I reset the trip portion, the same gear striped again and I cannot find a good one. I advise one not to reset the trip portion while moving as you WILL strip the gear.

I hope you can understand what I'm telling you as you have to tear the speedometer apart to get to that gear.

Guys I had the exact same problem as both of you. I went out to a wrecking yard and bought a entire gauge cluster. It cost 35. 00 and simply replaced the entire speedo unit. I know this is a pain but everyone I contacted about a trouble shoot of my original wanted minimum 75. 00. The back of my 92 was not accessible without breaking some plastic. Don't know what to tell you other than good luck!!!
